Oklahoma City-based Equipment Technology Inc. is planning to add 90 jobs during the next several years after joining the state's Quality Jobs program.
The privately held company, which manufactures truck-mounted, hydraulically operated aerial device units, also called bucket trucks or cherry pickers, plans to expand operations and add more professional positions in engineering, information technology and accounting, said Rosie Dominic, ETI's human resources director.
The company employs 170 people.
"We opened a new fabrication shop in 2007," Dominic said, and the plan is to employ more workers at that facility.
The company, at 341 NW 122, previously joined the quality jobs program in 2006, but the economy has affected business, she said.
ETI sells its trucks to communication companies and to the cable industry, and leases trucks to municipalities to help with severe weather damage.
ETI also leases other equipment, including digger derricks, pressure diggers, cranes, material handling equipment and utility trailers.
Equipment Technology could receive more than $1.3 million in the next 10 years if it adds the planned 90 jobs, state Commerce Department officials said.
