Greater Oklahoma City is in the geographic center of North America equidistant from the east and west coasts and major trade partners of Canada and Mexico. The ten county region is at the crossroads of the U.S., sitting at the heart of three major national highways on the NAFTA corridor.
There's a reason Greater Oklahoma City is such a great place for business: Location. The ten county region is positioned within a day's drive of the rapidly-growing south-central region (OK, TX, AR, LA) projected to grow more than 44% during the next 25 years.
Oklahoma has a strong aerospace infrastructure, with 54 state-of-art training centers across the state.
In Oklahoma, one in 10 employees derives income from the aviation industry, with an industrial output of nearly $12.5 Billion a year.
Another energy company has moved into downtown Oklahoma City.
Flogistix LP, a leading oil and natural gas services provider, announced Monday it has opened its corporate headquarters at City Place, 204 N Robinson Ave.
That office will house up to 20 members of Flogistix's management team, with the remainder of company's 150-plus employees spread across its eight-state service area.
“I could not be more excited about being back in business in Oklahoma City,” Flogistix CEO Mims Talton said. “Our city is perfect for building oil and gas service companies.
“It has the customer base, a skilled workforce and a great quality of life without the inherent hassles associated with living in a city like Houston.”
Talton is a former CEO of Compressco Inc., a manufacturer of oil and gas well servicing equipment in Oklahoma City.
Flogistix had been based in Pampa, Texas. Talton said he expects the company to prosper in its new home.
“Downtown Oklahoma City has become so dynamic as to attract young professionals looking to establish their careers and we are eager to expand our workforce here,” he said.
Talton led the January acquisition of the outstanding partnership interests of Fluid Compressor Partners. The company was renamed Flogistix in May.
Flogistix manufactures a range of gas and electric engine driven compressors and pump systems, while maintaining more than 1,000 rental gas compressor units in eight producing states.
