Drawing thousands of guests, Disney's The Lion King is being credited for brining more than $17 million to Oklahoma City hotels, restaurants and retail outlets.
Larry Payton, president of Celebrity Attractions, said total box office sales exceeded $5.6 million.
"This engagement of The Lion King is the highest grossing theatrical production in Oklahoma City's history," he said.
