U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will be the keynote speaker at the National Association of Seed Venture Funds annual conference on Sept. 14-16 at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City.
Vilsack will speak about how agricultural research is in the forefront of technology transfer. Oklahoma City won the bid for the conference in 2007.
"We are thrilled to be hosting the NASVF annual conference, and are honored to have Secretary Tom Vilsack as our keynote speaker," said Roy Williams, president and CEO of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. "We have many institutions in Oklahoma that are leading the way in agricultural research and creating sustainable alternative energy sources, so this is ideal and a great fit for us."
The National Association of Seed and Venture Funds is a nonprofit organization with 600 members in 43 states and four countries.
