Chickasha is the county seat and business and employment center of Grady County. Over 270,000 live within a 30-mile radius.

Location
Chickasha is strategically located on Interstate 44 just 35 miles southwest of Oklahoma City and just 200 miles from Dallas. The community is also at the intersection of US highways 81 and 62 offering alternate access to nearby Interstates 35 and 40 without traversing the OKC Metro area. Lawton and Norman are also just 30 minutes away, as is Will Rogers World Airport, a major passenger and cargo hub.

Business Advantages
Chickasha provides an array of business location advantages including a productive, highly skilled workforce, low business costs, excellent infrastructure, special industrial financing packages, Interstate sites and a 240-acre industrial park with air access. The nearby Chickasha Municipal Airport caters to corporate air transportation needs with a fully lighted 5,100' runway. Rail service is offered four times daily through Chickasha by Burlington Northern and Union Pacific. Customized industry training and over 500 future workers are available at the nearby Canadian Valley Technology Center. 

Quality of Life
There is a lot to do in Chickasha, a town with a strong native American and pioneer heritage. Residents enjoy the arts, antiques, automobiles of historic vintage, funky charm along main street, sports activities in a new $10 million Sports Park Complex, walking trails, Kids Place playground, Shannon Springs lake and walking trails, the state’s best Holiday Light Show, restaurants of diverse and usual fare, comfortable accommodations, and great golf.

Chickasha Public Schools serve over 2600 students from Pre-K through 12th grade. The High School was selected to “America’s Best High Schools”  by Newsweek Magazine.

The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) is a public liberal arts institution, has built a reputation for quality education. In 2015, USAO was ranked 65th on Kiplinger's Best Values in Public Colleges list.
