The community of over 21,822 is located in central Oklahoma County, with access to both Interstate 40 and Interstate35 – and is an excellent mid-continent location for manufacturing, customer care and distribution. The community is ideal location for aerospace suppliers -with the Tinker Air Logistics Center – the world’s largest jet engine facility, nearby. Del City is also home to Midwest Trophy – a global provider of recognition products. Customized industry training is provided at nearby Mid-Del Technology Center and passenger air access is just 20 minutes away at Will Rogers World Airport. Several choice manufacturing, commercial and retail sites are available.

Del City offers accessibility to the entire metro area’s many cultural and recreational amenities. Families enjoy the area’s top rated school system, low crime rate, easy access to excellent medical care and wonderful parks, biking trails, a water park, fishing and other recreational activities.

The Del City schools are a part of the top rated Mid-Del School System (enrollment 14,500). The community also offers residents access to 6 major colleges within a 20 mile radius, including Rose State College (enrollment 9,400) and the University of Oklahoma (enrollment 30,300). The Mid-Del Career Technology Center offers the nation’s premier technology training.

Major attractions include the Country & Western Museum, Del City Preservation & Historical Society, and War Memorial. The Annual Del City/Shriners Armed Forces Day Parade held annually in May reflects the area’s military heritage and is one of the largest, ongoing parades in the State of Oklahoma.

Del City was founded in 1948 by developer George Epperly and is named after his daughter, Delphina. Since its inception, the city has been the proud home to both military and civilian residents.
