Community Overview
Stroud is a progressive community located mid-way between Oklahoma City and Tulsa and within immediate market access of 2.3 million Oklahomans. The community is an ideal location for new corporate development, offering an excellent workforce, strong infrastructure and a low cost of doing business. It provides all the great quality of life attributes of a small town - a leisurely pace, good schools, wonderful recreation, safety and security – all within 45 minutes of the state’s two largest cities.
Business Location Advantages
Stroud is located on Interstate 44 and the intersection of Historic Route 66 and State Highway 99 (US 377) and just 25 miles north of Interstate-40. Infrastructure including all utilities, and high-speed dark fiber is in place to all sites. A 57-acre retail power center site is located on I-44 frontage with exits. Stroud is an enterprise zone and is located in former Native American Lands, offering significant tax advantages for new and expanding businesses.
Quality of Life
Stroud is Oklahoma’s Winery and Grape Capital. The community is home to several wineries and tasting rooms, as well as numerous vineyards, offering unique and interesting educational and tourism opportunities throughout the year.
The city is rich in history and historic buildings – and many Route 66 landmarks still exist, including the world famous Rock Café. Opportunities for recreation abound in the area. Stroud Lake offers over 620 surface acres as well as camping and fishing from a “white sand” beach. Six city parks offer playgrounds, fishing, swimming, ball fields and more. Golf is available at the well-maintained 9-hole municipal course.
The community is home to a regional medical center, outstanding secondary school system, and one of the nation’s premier career technical education centers (Central Oklahoma Technology Center), just minutes away. The majority of Oklahoma's major universities and colleges are within a 75- minute drive, including Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma, Tulsa Community College, University of Tulsa, Oral Roberts University and others.
The Sac & Fox Nation, headquartered 5 1/2 miles south of Stroud, is one of the community's major employers. In July of each year the Sac & Fox Pow-Wow offers the excitement and pageantry celebrating Oklahoma’s traditional Native American Culture.
The community hosts several festivals and events throughout the year including an Annual Wine Festival, Chili Cook-off and more. In cooperation with the Stroud Chamber of Commerce, Stroud Arts Inc. is becoming a reality offering arts for all ages and desires.
