A state agency has awarded $3.6 million to 17 applied research projects, including the development of 3D displays, the diagnosis of invasive fungal disease and diabetes treatments.
The funds were awarded by the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology. Award winners were independently peer-reviewed and were chosen from a field of 42 applicants.
Oklahoma-based research teams will use the funds to conduct research and development for up to three years. A typical award is for $300,000 for three years, but awards can vary in both time and funding amounts.
