The Oklahoma City Economic Development Trust on Wednesday gave the green light for the city to begin negotiations with Boeing Co. and Paycom Software Inc. on a combined $7.2 million in economic development incentives to create 1,323 new jobs.
The Economic Development Trust approved negotiation with Boeing Co. on $6 million in economic development incentives as the aerospace company shifts about 900 jobs to the city from other states.
The Boeing jobs will include many skilled engineering jobs and will have an average annual wage of about $90,000 a year. The company will relocate some workers, but mostly hire new employees from the Oklahoma City area, said Jeb Boatman, Oklahoma site director and chief counsel for Boeing.
“These are top-notch jobs that we are proud to be bringing to Oklahoma,” Boatman said.
