Demographia: OKC top-ten major market for housing affordability
Published: Monday, January 23, 2017Urban planning/policy consultancy Demographia just released their 13th Annual Demographia International Housing Affordability Survey, utilizing 2016 3rd Quarter housing affordability data for metropolitan areas with a population over 1,000,000. The rankings were created from the median multiple, which is the median house price/median household income.
Most Affordable Major Housing Markets in the U.S. (by Median Multiple):
- Rochester, NY: 2.5
- Buffalo, NY: 2.6
- Cincinnati, OH: 2.7
- Cleveland, OH: 2.7
- Pittsburgh, PA: 2.7
- Oklahoma City, OK: 2.9
- St. Louis, MO: 2.9
- Detroit, MI: 3.0
- Grand Rapids, MI: 3.0
- Indianapolis, IN: 3.0
- Kansas City, MO: 3.0
