Two agricultural experts affiliated with the Noble Research Institute recently were honored by organizations involving their fields, institute officials said.
The Oklahoma section of the Society of Range Management Association has awarded Noble Research Institute strategic consultation manager Russell Stevens its 2018 Outstanding Service award, the institute has announced.
Stevens was honored for his dedication to improving rangeland management. In addition to his leadership responsibilities at Noble, Stevens has served as a wildlife and range consultant for 30 years.
Jim Johnson, a soils and crops consultant for the institute, recently received the 2019 President’s Award from the Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts, officials said. The award recognizes Johnson as a leading expert and promoter of soil health in Oklahoma, they said. He is a certified crop adviser and certified agricultural irrigation specialist.
