The Stephenson Cancer Center at OU Medicine announced Wednesday the expansion of its clinical trials program, thanks to a $10.8 million grant from the National Cancer Institute.
Dr. Robert Mannel, center director, said the six-year grant will allow the cancer center to expand its clinical research staff and help more cancer patients.
"These clinical trials are bringing the latest therapies here to Oklahoma," Mannel said.
“The mission of the Stephenson Cancer Center is to improve patient outcomes and reduce the burden of cancer for all the citizens of Oklahoma,” he said. “One of the most important ways we do that is by offering a large portfolio of early- and late-phase clinical trials for all types and stages of cancer.”
