Yukon design-builder SGS LLC has won a Phase 3 contract to finish construction on a training facility at Altus Air Force Base.
The $13.45 million contract is being handled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Work on the facility is scheduled to be complete in 2021.
Altus will serve as the training base for pilots and crew on the KC-46A Pegasus, the latest mid-air refueling tanker delivered to the Air Force by Boeing Corp. Maintenance work will be done at Tinker Air Force Base, while the main fleet is stationed at a base in Kansas.
