Jonathan Yarbor's business plan could upend part of the multiplayer game market and revenue stream.
Yarbor is the CEO of Nodecraft, an Oklahoma City-based platform that lets people play games on private servers rather than one owned by the game developers. The idea he wants to implement, and is now pitching to developers, is to be the conduit between gamers and publishers.
Most multiplayer game publishers own or lease their own servers where the public plays. Nodecraft instead would take over billing, customer service and the cloud infrastructure.
