A longtime general aviation aircraft manufacturer announced plans Thursday to expand its Norman facility.
Commander Aircraft Corp. said it will build an $8 million production facility for its single-engine aircraft. The company already has two hangars at Max Westheimer Airport.
The new building will be 100,000 square feet and situated adjacent to the airport. It will allow Commander to put its aircraft back into production with new models, and have space for the inventory of parts, service, storage and repairs.
