A new full-day summer camp for children has opened in Edmond, allowing attendees to learn coding, 3D printing, robotics and other activities in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.
The camp, iCode Edmond, also will offer after-school programming during the school year for children in kindergarten through 12th grade. Summer camps typically cater to children 7 and older.
The camp opened June 1.
Director Heather Peck said iCode Edmond has value in teaching young people tech literacy because those skills will be vastly more important in their generation's workforce.
"We want our future to be competitive in tomorrow's job market," she said.
