Builders + Backers is now accepting applications for its Fall 2024 Idea Accelerator, offering up to $5,000 in funding and guidance from the Venture Studio to help turn ideas into potential new companies. The program is free and open to anyone with a novel idea—no pitch deck or business plan required. Applications close on September 29.

Program Overview

The Idea Accelerator is a cohort-based program that meets every other week for seven sessions. Participants also receive one-on-one mentorship from a team of supportive experts and have access to a suite of digital tools. The program culminates in receiving funding to run a real-world experiment that will put your idea to the test.

Eligibility

For the first time, the program is open to all Oklahoma residents, thanks to support from Edward Jones and Heartland Forward. Designated spots are also available for Tulsa residents and U.S. military veterans.

What Makes It Unique?

The Idea Accelerator welcomes entrepreneurial dreamers from all backgrounds, bringing together people with novel ideas across various industries. Past participants have explored ideas ranging from AI-powered tools, robotics, and high-scale hardware to health and wellness applications, agricultural innovations, and creative consumer products. The program’s approach to early-stage experimentation is designed to test ideas of all kinds, including yours.

The program is entirely virtual, connecting participants nationwide and offering $5,000 in non-dilutive funding through the Pebble Fund. For more information on eligibility and key dates, or to start your application, visit Builders + Backers’ website.
