Five Oklahoma startups have been selected for the latest cohort of gBETA Oklahoma City: Bounceless, Fanwave, Harding Digital, SwingLogic, and Whirr.
gBETA is a free, seven-week accelerator program that supports early-stage companies in the Oklahoma City metro area. Offered by global venture firm gener8tor, gBETA kicked off its seventh cohort on October 17, in partnership with Full Sail Capital, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, Inasmuch Foundation, Love’s Travel Stops, Oklahoma State University, Square Deal Capital, and University of Oklahoma.
The program provides intensive coaching and connects founders to a national network of mentors, customers, and investors. gBETA aims to prepare startups for future equity-based accelerator programs and funding opportunities.
These startups were chosen for their growth potential, readiness for investment, and innovation. Since its launch, gBETA Oklahoma City has supported 30 companies, which have raised over $1.3 million collectively.
“gBETA's hands-on approach has transformed our innovation ecosystem in Oklahoma,” said John Nickel, Assistant Director of Cowboy Enterprises at OSU. “Their mentorship and workshops are invaluable resources for our teams.”
Kristen Gibbs, gBETA Oklahoma City Program Director, expressed excitement for the new cohort. “The economic impact of previous gBETA programs in Oklahoma City is undeniable,” she said. “This is a great group of companies, and I’m glad to be part of this growing community.”
At the end of the program, participants will pitch their companies to investors and community partners at a showcase event in December 2024.
